On November 12, 2019, The Verge reported Airbnb dropped forced arbitration clauses for sexual misconduct claims. The announcement was made in the wake of a one-day international worker walk out at Google. The Google strike was held Oct 31, 2019 over Google's handling of workplace sexual harassment. In the weeks following the Google worker walkout several large tech companies confirmed they either definitely had ended or never used the practice of forced arbitration for sexual harassment claims.
